March: Applique (Easter/spring related applique) Basics on how to do applique. Definitely beginner friendly. learn how to do applique and basics about various applique techniques. You will take home a small project.
This class teaches how to
1. fuse the applique pieces on
2. How to cut the applique out
3. some basic stitches to secure the applique
4. Hand versus machine applique
5. Supplies you might need to do applique

| Instructor Bio: | Susan Hyder has been sewing since she was 6 and quilting since she was 12. She has worked in the textile service and manufacturing industry many times over her lifetime. She has worked among others in government textile manufacturing, alterations, quilting, dressmaking, and has owned textile related businesses three times in her career. She has owned her current sewing supplies business starting online in 2002 moving to a retail brick 'n mortar location in 2009. She is the sole proprietor of Hyderhangout: Quilt Fabric & More. One of her greatest love is to see others create beautiful things using textiles and other craft items. Teaching others is one of her favorite things to do, and she will take time out to help others to fix their items, create new projects, or pick out things to go into their projects. No question is wrong...in her words "the only dumb question is the one not asked". Helping others to create is Priority. |
