Stack n Whack quilt class. (Lap size quilt to king sized)
8 Repeats of fabric for the block. Background fabric for/sashing, amount will depend on how big you make your blocks and how wide you want your sashing.
Class #1
Students will learn how to choose suitable fabric. What a material repeat is, how to Stack and Whack (cut) fabric for this technique. Start to sew blocks.
Class#2
Finish sewing blocks together, cut corners to make blocks square. Trim blocks and start to sew quilt top together.
Finish cutting sashing/ cornerstones if you choose them, arrange completed blocks out in sewing order and sew each row together. Then sew all rows together to finish quilt top.
You need all items from class #1 for class # 2.
You can sew star blocks together at home to have more done before class 2 and/or 3. Also, you are invited to Hangout at Hyderhangout anytime to work on your projects.
If you come to the early class each session, you may stay after and work during the second session each Thursday.

Skill Details: | Must be able to keep an accurate 1/4" seam allowance. Able to accurately cut using a rotary cutter and ruler templates. |
Requirements: | ? Christmas Fabric with a bold repeated pattern ? Fabric with a solid color ? Rulers, Stack-N-Whack ruler, 60 deg triangle ruler (Quilt in a Day or Marti Michell Kaleidoscope ruler) and a 3? X 18? OR 8? X 24? ruler. ? Pins, Flat head or T pins ? Iron ? Sewing machine ? Thread. ? Rotary Cutter with NEW blade/s will be cutting 8 layers of fabric at 1 time |
