Managing Editor's Favourite: Christmas with Artful Offerings. When the very talented Karina Hittle of Artful Offerings made a guest appearance in Homespun Vol7 No 6, I must admit I was besotted with her gorgeous creations. Luckily for me (and crafters around the world), Karina has released a fabulous book filled with so many wonderful projects to delight. So rather than spend the days before Christmas in the kitchen with measuring cups and baking bowls, why not spend it in the sewing room with needle and thread. There are over 20 projects to create including ornaments, a table runner, placemats, stockings, notecards and Karina's signature coneshaped topiary trees. There are plenty of basic how-to techniques described inside and only a few of the patterns need enlarging. This book is sure to satisfy everyone's whim, as there's embroidery, patchwork, applique and even punchneedle projects to make. --Catherine Sanchez, Australian Homespun Magazine
