Even the best traditions need an update. That’s why we’ve reinvented stencils for quilting. These unique stencils are transferred with a Quilt Pounce Pad™, and because the material is a nylon mesh open only on the design lines, the powder goes right through to the quilt top! There are no breaks or bridges to fill in, no mess, and it’s easy, fun, and effortless to transfer the beautiful designs onto your quilt tops. A few swipes of the Chalk-filled Quilt Pounce™ and you’re ready to accent the beauty of your quilt by stitching over a crisp, crystal clear motif, border, or continuous line. Full Line Stencils™ are the choice of quality and value. Perfect for beginners to the pros who thought they had everything.
Full Line Stencils™ require very little care. They are tough and can be transferred countless times. If they begin to get a little “dusty” from the chalk, use a damp cloth to clean them. A dry Microfiber towel also works well. If you’re using the Ultimate Pounce Powder, you can even iron them to clean them up! Be sure to clean them if switching colors of chalk. You don’t want to heat set the blue when you’re ironing off the white.
What’s the best way to store Full Line Stencils? Store flat or roll. However, our standard size and smaller stencils slip into inexpensive sheet protectors and can be kept in a binder. Pants hangers work great too, hang the hanger on a nail on the wall to keep them out of your way yet still within easy reach.
Full Line Stencils™ all work the same, there is no right or wrong side, you just position, swipe the Pounce pad over the top, lift off and sew!
These stencil don't have a true opening so a pencil will not work to transfer them. The way they work is by the chalk powder in the pounce pad being forced through the screen mesh as it's swiped across the surface of the stencil. The design is transferred on to the quilt top so quickly, no more fatigue in your hands from gripping the pencil, fabric does not get stretched and pulled like it does with a sharp pencil point. The area that we don't want the chalk to go through is closed off - they're not broken with the bridges used. You get to follow the complete line as you sew. There is no right or wrong side, most designs have registration marks to help align repeats. And rather than tracing all those lines you just swipe the chalk filled refillable Pounce Pad over the mesh and are ready to sew in no time
